Many states and insurance companies have premier health plans available to people who are employees or who are self employed. There are many different things that you will want to look at when deciding on purchasing a premier health plan.

. Plan costs will be change according to what the insurance company is charging, the number of people being insured, and your health.

. What is covered depends on the plan that is chosen. Some plans will cover only major medical, some will cover only accidents, some will cover dental and prescriptions, and some will cover all of the above.

. Deductibles are one of the things that determine the price of the insurance plan because the lower the deductible the more the insurance will cost because the insurance company will be covering more of your expenses.

. Out of pocket expense is also something that helps to determine the price you will pay for your insurance policy. Again, the lower your out of pocket expense is the more your insurance will have to pay.

. In-Network providers are healthcare providers that your insurance company has agreed to pay at certain levels and going to these doctors will save you money because your insurance company will pay your bills at the insurance plans highest percentage.

. Out-of -Network providers are healthcare providers that your insurance company does not contract with. You can still see these healthcare providers but your insurance company may not pay them or will pay them at a lower percentage which will make your out of pocket expense higher.

If you are an employee you may not have any choice when it comes to what policy you will be provided. Some companies allow you to choose which policy your prefer but you will have to pay more for a better policy.
